Introduction
My mane is Errol Brandt and I’m the founder of KNowledge Orchestrator. My journey to this point is an unusual one, but it’s central to the vision of the company.
Early Career
I started working with Nestle in 1993 as a cost accounting graduate. After a year I was transferred to a much bigger factor, which had its own mainframe I crashed the system by finding a way to teach myself Query/400.
Instead of firing me,I got put onto an international project to build a regional manufacturing costing system.
This was in the days before SAP, and there were huge efficiency gains to be made.
I spent almost a decade living a glamorous life flying around the world to implement and support systems.
Middle Career
But at some point in your life you know that you need to stop doing, and start leading. In 2009 I moved to the United Arab Emirates to help stabilize their SAP implementation.
I took the painful experiences from Australia and showed them how to navigate around then. It was true knowledge collaboration which would have saved that business millions.
Avoiding mistakes is cheaper than fixing them.
In 2010 I returned to Australia and started getting more involved with researching leadership behaviours of Australian manufacturing companies.
After spending so much time within Nestle, I wash shocked to find it remarkable how disorganised continue to operate. I’ve worked for some terrible ones.
Today
Two years ago I graduated with my Doctorate in Business, researching Leadership Behaviours in the Australian Manufacturing sector.
In December 2022, we formed a company to bring our product to makret.
Knowledge Orchestrator is the culmination of a career full of collecting, curating and sharing business knowledge.
These days my job is to share the vision.
